Plant based whole foods opened this year with a vision to provide affordable unprocessed vegan whole food and drinks on Katoomba St.
Offering menu that is bursting with flavour, freshness and a love of the planet, peas, beans, falafels, humous, salads, sweet and savoury pies and cakes are cooked from whole ingredients to create dishes borrows from Arabic and Indian cuisines.
Generous wooden tables, comfortable eclectic seating and high ceilings provide a warm relaxing atmosphere. Friday nights live music and monthly poetry slams showcase local talent and are accompanied by a great selection of local wines, beers, ciders, spirits and cocktails.
Biodegradable food waste is picked up for composting by a farm in Rydall that suppliers fresh herbal teas for the café, including their most popular: Spearmint and Lemon Verbena.
Used cooking oil is picked up for production of biodiesel, which doesn’t emit C02.
With LED lighting throughout and reverse cycle air conditioning for heating and cooling, these energy efficient options, combined with the vegan menu ensure a very low carbon living drinks and dining experience.
