Torrens University Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) is an innovative, high tech multicultural environment where students pursue university level hospitality studies.

Regarded as the number one hotel management school in Australia, the Asia Pacific (TNS survey), and internationally, students experience a unique combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, to prepare for career commencement immediately following graduation.

Recycling, composting, worm farming, micro-fibre cleaning and charity bins are established at the Leura Campus. Dining room carpets are made from recycled fishing line and foyer floorboards are bamboo. Power and water saving devices are due to be installed as an expenditure priority.  Improving waste management systems, composting and reuse of organic waste, as well as adding solar panels have been recommended by the carbon audit. Energy bills average between $13,000 per month in the winter and $10,000 in the summer, currently supplied by Integral Energy.

BMIHMS courses are delivered across three custom designed campuses. Undergraduate students study on campus at Leura in the Blue Mountains at the School’s Practical Learning Centre - where they study and train a simulated hotel and restaurant environment - before moving on to complete their degree at our Executive Business Centre in Sydney. Postgraduate students also study at the Sydney Campus, located in the heart of the city. The third campus, allowing for study abroad experience and pathways, is located in Suzhou, China.

Since 1991, BMIHMS has produced more than 4,500 graduates from over 50 countries.  Due to its successful Industry Placement program and extensive network of hospitality industry partners including major hotel chains, boutique properties, resorts and events companies, BMIHMS students are highly sought after have excellent employment and career prospects.
