The Hydro Majestic was built as a lavish Hydropathic Establishment by retailing magnate Mark Foy (1865-1950) originally for the globally wealthy and influential of the period. Today, affectionately known as 'Hydro' it features 65 guest rooms with art deco inspired accommodation, offering guests an escape to the glamour of yesteryear. 

Also renowned for its restaurants and bars, The Hydro offers an array of High Tea experiences, innovative cuisine and fine wines, earning it's place among Australia’s most famous foodie destinations showcasing fresh and local and regional produce.

The Hydro Majestic’s low carbon achievements include energy efficient lighting; appliances and double glazed windows through most of the buildings, extracting efficiency out of the heating systems; and innovative engineering approaches, including the latest direct injection composying machine to divert food waste from landfill.
